Collaboration

The CPCA Certification Commission values a collaborative process with Private Faith-Based Institutions seeking Certification of their Administrative and Academic Programs.

The CPCA Certification Commission provides administrative and academic certification to Private Faith-Based Institutions of Higher Learning.

Private – meaning that it is not public. That is, not designed, organized, or controlled by local, state or federal governments (such as community/state junior or senior colleges and universities).

Faith-based – meaning Christus Primum (Christ First), and that the foundation of the institution rests upon the Scripture with full confidence in its inerrancy and infallibility. It means that such a foundation rests not an antiquated and outmoded relic of a less enlightened age, but the wise and intelligent embrace of the true wisdom of the ages.

INSTITUTION WITH INSTITUTIONAL CERTIFICATION

Candidate Institutions of the CPCA Certification Commission develop a Self-Study that focuses on meeting the standards of Administration and Academics.

Following a successful review of the Self-Study a Site Visit comprised of Commission Staff and representatives from Commission Institutions is required.

A successful Site Visit results in Institutional Certification by the CPCA Certification Commission. The duration for CPCA Certification is from ​1 – 3 years. The Annual Institutional Report is due during the Certification period.

INSTITUTION WITH ADVANCED CERTIFICATION

Institutions with CPCA Comprehensive Certification may choose to develop an Advanced Self-Study that focuses on meeting advanced standards of Administration and Academics.

Following a successful review of the Self-Study a Site Visit comprised of Commission Staff and representatives from Certified Institutions is required.

A successful Site Visit results in Advanced Certification by the CPCA Certification Commission. The duration for Advanced Certification is 10 years. The Annual Institutional Report is due during the Certification period.
